National Amputee Awareness Week commences today, held from 4-11 October. This is a positive week raising awareness of amputation and provides an opportunity for individuals to tell their stories and let Queenslanders know that help is available.
Limbs4Life advocate that no-one should go through limb loss alone. NIISQ are here to help our participants through their journey, providing necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support to participants who have sustained a multiple or high-level limb amputations in a motor vehicle accident in Queensland.
This week, the NIISQ team are participating in the social media campaign #GetYourRibbonOn, wearing ribbons to raise awareness and we will also be sharing NIISQ participant stories.
