National Injury Insurance Scheme, Queensland (Work-related accidents)
From 1 July 2016, workers who suffer serious personal injuries as a result of work-related events in Queensland, may be eligible.
A serious personal injury includes:
Permanent spinal cord injuries
Traumatic brain injuries
Multiple or high-level limb amputations
Permanent injury to the brachial plexus
Severe burns
Permanent legal blindness.
Eligibility criteria apply for all injuries and can be found in the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act and Regulation located on the Worksafe website .
